It’s Turkey Time!
Have you heard the one about the cat who dove onto the Thanksgiving dining table and dragged a whole turkey onto the floor? (Well I have, and it does happen!) Raw turkey is particularly dangerous because it can contain Salmonella bacteria. Thanksgiving might be a good time to sequester your furry friends in a safe part of the house (such as your bedroom). House guests can cause unnecessary stress to a cat and increase a risk of escape. It’s fine to bring him or her a little white meat turkey (no skin) as a treat, just don’t over-do it!
